These will be the warm up of every practice session. Always think about this during your stroke.

Practice it as a warmup at different dynamics. Use it from now on.

Practice the previous two every session, and eventually reducing to every other session, etc…

Rothman - Basic Drumming Finish this book. What you may find helpful is to use a digital metronome that allows you to encode the beats of these book. It will help with the timing e.g. 1/16 vs 1/8. Once you can play at 60 BPM of the score, reduce the number of beats to see if you can still do it without the metronome.

I count in 1/2/3/4/5/6/7/8 Vietnamese because English has seven syllables. 1 e + d is too distracting. We always chunk it down to the smallest unit anyways, so not necessary.

If you can work through these books, you have efficient technique.

Make sure your hands are not tense, and are relaxed at all times. Matched grip is preferred.
